How does a driving course work?

Each course begins with a thorough technical briefing led by one of our professional instructors. You will learn how your single-seater works, the safety guidelines, and the driving techniques suited to the circuit of the day.

The briefing and familiarisation

Before taking the wheel, you will spend time preparing with your dedicated instructor. Settling into the seat, adjusting it and your equipment, understanding the controls — nothing is left to chance so you feel completely at ease when you hit the track.

The track sessions

Once on track, you will complete several sessions progressively increasing in intensity. Between each session, a personalised debrief with your instructor allows you to identify the areas to work on and improve lap after lap.

Video debrief and coaching

Video analysis is at the heart of our coaching approach. After each session, you review the key moments from your drive with your instructor to fully understand the corrections to apply.

Which circuits for your course?

Classic Racing School organises its courses on some of France’s most iconic circuits. The Charade circuit, nestled at the foot of the Puy de Dôme in Auvergne, offers an exceptional natural setting and a history tied to the greatest names in Formula 1. Other legendary destinations complete the calendar depending on the season and events.

Who is this type of course for?

Contrary to popular belief, the historic single-seater driving course is open to everyone. No prior competition experience is required. Whether you are a car enthusiast, a thrill-seeker, or simply curious to live an extraordinary experience, our instructors will tailor the programme to your level.

The only requirements are holding a driving licence and being in good physical condition to fully enjoy the experience. Under-18s are accepted provided they hold an FFSA licence and are under the supervision of a legal representative who has signed a waiver.
